BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT UGG SELLERS ON THE UK SITE

THERE ARE LISTINGS ADDED TO THE UK EBAY SITE EVERY DAY BY FRAUDULENT SELLERS AND THE LISTINGS ARE ALL FOR UGG BOOTS. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE SELLERS WHO TRY TO TELL YOU THEY ARE LOCATED IN THE UK-- THEY ARE NOT! THEY ARE LOCATED IN CHINA AND THEY HAVE MULTIPLE ID'S ON EBAY ALL WITH ZERO FEEDBACK AND LISTING HUNDREDS OF PAIRS OF FAKE UGGS. MORE LIKELY YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING AT ALL, EVEN THOUGH THEY TAKE PAYPAL AS PAYPAL DOES NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEY CLOSE THEIR PAYPAL ACCOUNTS OR WITHDRAW ALL FUNDS WHICH LEAVES YOU HIGH AND DRY AND NO PAYPAL PROTECTION. I HAVE REPEATEDLY REPORTED THESE PEOPLE TO EBAY WITH LITTLE DONE ABOUT THEM ALTHOUGH SOME LISTINGS WERE SUBSEQUENTLY REMOVED. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO SPOT, ALL HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK, ALL LIST AT RIDICULOUS LOW LOW PRICES, ALL THE PICTURES AEW THE SAME WITH BLUE TAGS ON BOOTS OR PICS THAT ARE NOT THEIR OWN. ALL INFO ON THE DESCRIPTION IS THE SAME AND THEY OFTEN SAY THEY TAKE 15 DAYS FOR YOU TO RECEIVE ANYTHING, THAT GIVES THEM THE CHANCE TO STEAL AS MUCH OF YOUR MONEY AS THEY CAN PRIOR TO ANY DISPUTES BEING OPENED. AFTER ALL WHAT DO THEY CARE, THEY MAKE MONEY FROM ROBBING BUYERS NOT BY PRODUCING GENUINE GOODS, OR ANY GOODS AT ALL. ALL OF THE IDS ARE MADE UP OF STRINGS OF NONSENSE LETTERS AND NUMBERS, AND SOME OF THEM LIST AS U.G.G. RATHER THAN UGG. THIS IS BECAUSE EBAY INTRODUCED NEW MEASURES TO COMBAT FAKE GOODS BEING SOLD ON THE SITE, IF YOUR TITLE DESCRIPTION STATES UGG THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LIST ON ONE DAY AUCTIONS NOR CAN YOU LIST 100S OF PAIRS AT A TIME, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK. BY LISTING THE WORD WITH DOTS IN BETWEEN THEY ENSURE THEY BEAT THE SYSTEM AND CAN THEN LIST AS MANY AS THEY LIKE ALL ON ONE DAY AUCTIONS. I HAVE ADVISED TRUST AND SAFETY OF THIS AND I HOPE THEY WILL TAKE STEPS TO CIRCUMVENT IT. THIS SORT OF BEHAVIOUR SERIOUSLY AFFECTS ALL OF US GENUINE UGG SELLERS AND I HOPE THAT OTHER SELLERS WILL ALSO TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO STAMP OUT THESE FRAUDSTERS ONCE AND FOR ALL. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL BE SERIOUSLY RIPPED OFF IF YOU BID ON THEIR AUCTIONS.

Buying Bundles, avoid the rubbish!

Buying bundles of children's clothing can be soft on your pocket and the enviornment if you use common sense and caution.Firstly, silly as this sounds, read the description carefully. Make sure you understand exactly what is in the bundle. Look for clear pictures of what is included, along with basic description of the items. We always state if there is anything other than the most minor of marks (ie something that just won't be seen when the item is worn, but you may just about be able to find with close inspection under excellent lighting conditions). Look for sellers that state any specific damage. Some brands definatley wear better than others and we sell a lot of second hand children's clothing. Brands we've found to avoid are Primark (Girl to Girl, Denim

Why buy Fake handbags ??

A lot of handbags on e-bay do appear conterfit, if it seems to good to be true it probably is !! we here at the-handbag-king, one of the major sellers in the UK for handbags, sportsbags, wallet, purses, beachbags etc etc do not sell these items as we feel its our moral responsibility not to fund this seemingly growth industry, where does this money end up ?? It is always reported on the TV that this money ends up with the drug barons and people smugglers and therefore is it really appropriate to be buying or selling these items, even for the seemingly tidy profit that could be made ??If you see one of our Adidas sportsbags / drawsting swim bags advertised IT IS ADIDAS, if we tell you our item is Leather, IT IS LEATHER, we buy in bulk and can therefore starthandbags for less then a fiver !!!Also, do not be fooled by feedback this can be bought and sold (this was recently reported to be the case on BBC's Watchdog programme), check that what they are selling corresponds with previous transactions, if they have been selling

NHL Ice Hockey Jerseys

Hi,Watch out for these jerseys that are being stated as "Authentic Reebox NHL jerseys". most of these are fake replics. you can tell as the name and number on the back of the jerseys are written in a different font from the ones used in the authentics from the NHL Shop. Also these jerseys retail at $200 , so it is very strange to find them at $50 and the sellers having such a large quantity to.So just watch out you dont fall victim!

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN BUYING FROM A SELLER ON EBAY

eBay is a fantastic marketplace, but just like on a Market Stall there are the good guys and the dodgy geezers! So how do you spot the dodgy ones and what should you look out for? Here are some simple things to watch out for -1/. Avoid sellers with Private Feedback - What are they trying to hide?A genuine seller should be proud to display their feedback.2/. Be very wary of foreign sellers from Nigeria, China, Taiwan etc as the goods are likely to be fake or even non existant.3/. Always ask yourself why isa listing so much cheaper than similar listings ......... normally because it is a fake, or not genuine - remember nothing is for free and things cost what they cost, so if you pay

fit flops

Now fit flops seems to be the latest in thing (I don't claim to know how good they are) it seems thatpeople are desperate to get them without any looking around. Just because someone says sold out everywhere it doesn't mean they are. I bought 2 pairs on line without postage, in black, without difficulty, when some people are paying over the odds. The saying has been around since the Roman empire, buyer beware! Check out other buyers first before paying more than you need.Do I recommend them, I am on my second pair which speaks for itself, very comfortable because of the 'give' when you walk cushioning the impact of your step.

Spotting A Fake Lacoste Polo Shirt or Jumper!!!!

Having recently gone through the process of returning not one, not two, but THREE fake Lacoste polos that were advertised as "100% AUTHENTIC LACOSTE POLO" blah blah blah, I thought it would be a good exercise to point out some things to look out for when shopping for Lacoste polo shirts on Ebay. 1)Pin the crocodile on the polo...The first and most obvious sign that you have a fake Lacoste polo on your hands is the placement of the croc itself. On a real shirt, you will find the croc positioned between the bottom button and the placket of the shirt. Most fake shirts place the croc even with the placket. If you have a shirt with the croc lined up with the placket, you have a fake- there are no exceptions to this rule! If the seller is including real pictures with their auction, this is easy to spot BEFORE you bid- so keep it in mind. As far as the croc itself, it should be well defined, with sharp teeth and distinct feet. It should NOT be bloated or distended in any way, shape or form.2)Speaking of buttons...Lacoste polos come with mother of pearl buttons- these are organic- meaning they're harvested from living things- meaning you CANNOT have two identical buttons. Ever. If your polo has two white buttons that are plastic, you have a fake Lacoste. If your buttons are identical, you have a fake Lacoste. The colour of the buttons will vary depending on the shirt colour- some come in white, some in the colour of the shirt, etc.- but the one constant is that they are NOT plastic buttons. The buttons also should not have ANYTHING on them- no logo, no text, no nothing. Another thing I noticed with all three of my fakes relative to a real shirt were the button openings- the real shirt has defined horizontal slits- the fake shirts looked like someone had used a hole puncher to open them up.3)Tags and bags don't tell the story...Don't be swayed by declarations of poly bags and authentic tags. Anyone with a printer and a manufacturing facility to make fakes can make these.4)But tags sometimes tell you something...Look at the tag inside the collar of the shirt. It should be white, with LACOSTE at the bottom, the croc above, and the size, in NUMBERS, in the upper left corner. If your shirt has letter sizing, you have a fake. If your shirtLook closer. The croc should have TWO distinct eyes- the fakes only have one eye. An authentic Lacoste shirt will have a Devanlay tag on the inside of the shirt in the torso area- it can be on EITHER side, depending on where you bought your shirt and where it was made. Not ALL Lacoste polos are made in Peru- I have an authentic polo that I purchased in France at the Lacoste store, that was made in Morocco- it would appear that most North American polos are made in Peru however. 5)The proof is in the shirt...Real Lacoste polos are SOFT. Very soft. They use a very fine weave, and are fairly thin. They are not bulky, and they are not heavy. They FEEL expensive. If you have doubt, it's probably a fake. Other things to look out for are the collar- it should be fairly thick and sturdy- you should be able to pop the collar fairly easily, and it should STAY UP. Also, the cuffs of a real Lacoste shirt have broader ribbing, and also are substantially thicker than the rest of the shirt material- if it feels flimsy, it's fake! Two more small notes- the placket will be an ENTIRE rectangular piece on both side of the shirt, sewn in neatly- fakes don't do this- and the hem of the shirt, specifically the cut points at the side, should not be distended and should appear equal- these shirts aren't expensive just because of the logo- they are MADE WELL when they're real.6)If you're not sure...Ask for more pictures- up close high resolution shots of the LACOSTE tag, the Devanlay tag, the weave, the placement of the croc, the croc itself, and the collar area. A reputable seller won't hesitate to do that for you. If they don't- don't bid. It looks like the overwhelming majority of shirts on Ebay are fake. If it's sold in lots, it's probably fake. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Check feedback scores, particularly for 'fake' complaints. There are some VERY good fakes being sold- they will have the croc in the right spot, the buttons will look good, etc., but invariably SOMETHING is wrong with them (the tag for example). If you don't care about 'authentic', then go right ahead and buy away, but if you're looking for REAL stuff, your best bet is to buy from an authorized retailer from a real store.Hopefully this clears up some further confusion. Good luck!

Spotting a fake Nike Free

After getting my first fake purchase and not seeing any reviews or warnings about Nike Frees, I took it to myself to warn others with pictures.-Firstly my purchase was firstly made from a 'UK' seller but turned out it was sent from China. Warning alarms should start ringing as most other fake Nike products on Ebay come from the East ie Hong Kong, China, Vietnam etc etc.-Next warning was when I received the package of a plastic bag that contained the Nike Frees, no box with the item. *A note was left explaining the higher cost I would have to pay with the box in the post.*-After taking them out at first glance it looked genuine but after feeling suspicious I decided to goggle about telltale signs of fake Nikes.China Sent Nike Free 5.0 UK Shop Purchased Nike Free 3.0The pictures above are the trainers I had purchased, UK purchase was as a result to prove the China one was fake.-Here are the signs I noticed Pictured here are from left to right China Nike Free 5.0, UK Nike Free 3.0 and my old Nike Free 5.0 purchased from Nike online. The black squared on the bottom (Heel) and tips(Little toe) of the sole are made of carbon rubber called BRS 1000. Its soft and pretty much stops you slipping. The UK and old pair of Nike Frees I have both feel soft and non slippery but the China purchase feel hard and slippery and certainly not rubber but in fact plastic.

Using Paypal - the legalised robbers!

I recently had the misfortune of thinking I'd save myself and my buyers some money by sending my kiddies' old toys via courier instead of the Royal Mail! What an expensive mistake that has turned out to be! Read my other guide for how USELESS the courier company are - Parcel2Go.com - avoid! To compound my agony, it now turns out that the complaints filed against me by my buyers for non-receipt of their goods have been upheld by Paypal, who have stolen the money from my account to refund these buyers! Now, let me explain...I purchased the initial courier service through Paypal. I then discovered that Paypal doesn't provide Buyer Protection Cover for services - is this because they know the service providers who use Paypal are not reliable??Then, when the courier company failed to deliver the items as labelled, the buyers contacted me. I in turn contacted Paypal only to discover that they wash their hands of these cowboys, despite taking a hefty fee for the privilege of making the payments via their transfer service. When the courier themselves fail to accept that they have employed illiterate drivers, 2 of my buyers escalte their disputes to a claim, as anyone would (a third doesn't. I assume she must have felt the obvious - that I was not to blame!). In the meantime, I have tried my utmost to get the courier to re-collect the parcels and redisribute them correctly, as they were paid to do. They again refuse, and I contact Trading Standards. However, before trading Standards have responded, Paypal take it upon themselves to issue a full refund to my buyers. They steal the balance from my account without my say-so

Handmade Tiara - what are the options?

OK... Time to write a guide to answer questions I keep being asked about tiara components! Handmade tiaras can be made from all sorts of materials from crystal and pearl to feather and ribbon or fresh flowers - the choice is only limited by imagination. But in this guide I will only deal with the most common components. Most Bridal Tiarasare made withcrystals (usually Swarovski - considered the best ones) andoften pearls.Crystals - your choice - AB or not? Crystal AB have had a coating applied to them which makes them pick up and reflect surrounding colours. They can be quite colourful at times andare very sparkly. Plain Crystal can be best described as being like cut glass or lead crystal wine glasses. NEW Crystal Moonlight is a new Swarovski crystal which is perfect for brides who want a bit more sparkle than plain crystal but don't want the colour the AB crystal brings Some brides love the AB crystals and other want to keep all colour out of their accessories to keep the look totally white. The photo shows some AB crystals on the left and plain clear on the right.Crystals - keep them all clear or add a bit of colour?Luckily Swarovski make crystal beads in over 50 different colours so it is almost always possible to match them up to a wedding colour scheme. So for those who want a splash of colour in their bridesmaids hair accessories - no problemPearls - glass pearls or real fresh water pearls?Glass pearls come in lots of different colours from white to black, lots of sizes and are round. Generally brideschoose the off white/ ivory glass pearl - which is nearest to a natural pearl (andusually nearest to the bridal gown colour)Freshwater pearls, because they are a natural product are more variable in shape and size within a batch. The surface is not uniform like the glass beads giving a character which some prefer. These too can be found in different colours - pearls which have been dyed. Fresh water pearls will generally mean a higher priced tiara. The pearls on the left are glass pearls the ones on the right are fresh water pearlsSilver or gold, real or not? Bands and wires used in tiaras are usually silver or gold in colour. But bands can be wrapped in ribbon to make them any colour, and other wires such as copper or brass, or wires coated in many different colours can be used to good effect. Silver and gold wire - these can be coloured wires, or real silver plated and real gold plated. Plated wires will usually mean a slightly higher priced tiara but they are in my opinion a nicer colour. The wires inside are coloured wires, the outer wires are silver and gold plated wire.Band, wire, comb pin or grip? Many custom made hair accessories can be made on a tiara band, a wire band, a comb, a pin or a grip. The first thing to think about is how you will have your hair styled and then which of these will fix securely in your hair and complement your style. Then just ask your jewellery maker if it's possible to have the design of your choice made on the base which will suit you best.Choose what you love!People ask me what I think, but really it's all a matter of personal taste - and so I'd say to you, choose what you love and then you will feel and look beautiful! And finally aword about silver plated tiarasSilver tarnishes with time - quicker if left exposed, so if you do buy a silver plated tiara, store it in acid free tissue paper and in a box to keep it away from air and moisture.Hope you found this guide useful. To visit my shop - Beady Eyes Jewellery - click here

Buying Trainers

When buying trainers please be very careful and check the feedback scores of any vendor you may be thinking of buying from. I cannot stress this enough. I myself, along with a lot more buyers were robbed of our money from an un-scrupulous vendor who just never bothered to send the items, and basically took our money and ran. Some people having hundreds of pounds taken off them. Please please please people always check sellers feedbacks. For your own safety.

Fake North Face jackets on eBay.

By now most people who are interested in buying outdoor clothing on eBay will be aware that there is a lot of fake North Face clothing around. Most of this is easy to spot, the old adage 'If it looks too good to be true, it probably is' being particularly pertinent in this case. There are a few things you can do to guard against being ripped off;- look at the other items the seller is stocking. If they are also selling jackets favoured by football hooligans, high fashion jackets etc, they are obviously not specialists in outdoor clothes or likely to be particularly knowledgeable about them. Also, check the photos of the other 'designer' items the seller has on offer. If they are also black, made of similar looking material etc; be wary.- ask the seller a question. Ask for details regarding the jacket, eg 'Is the item a factory second?', 'What material is the jacket made from?', 'What range is the jacket from?', 'Why is it so cheap?', or even, 'Is it genuine?'. If the jackets are fake, chances are you won't receive a reply. Anyone interested in outdoor pursuits with a genuine interest in the kit they sell will be only too pleased to help you out.- don't be fooled by BNWT. If reasonably convincing fakes of the jacket and associated logos can be made, producing tags is hardly going to pose much of a problem.- be realistic. If a retailer, discount or not, really has by some miracle managed to land a load of North Face jackets, BNWT, are they likely to put them on eBay with starting prices around the

Guide To Writing A Listing

Hi And WelcomeHere is my guide to writing a listing;I have been doing ebay now for nearly three years and have learn't some things and would like to share them with you.I started out selling some items and decided to sell clothes and also a few other things. The first thing I learn't was presentation, key words and a bit of paitence the most important thing to have lol.First off is the title;Make itan eye openerby adding the key words, look at the item of clothing you have, for instance if you have a tartan skirt don't put ladies red skirt as it will look bland put something like; goth/emo/punk/kilt these are some of the key words that do stand out from all the others, the size of the skirt is also important, you could use u.k. or size.Next is the description;I will keep with the tartan skirt through this for you, write a description about it not just ladies tartan skirt.Put it snazzy and start off with something like for this auction.Next you put the colour/fabric if you know it, if you don't describe what it is like so for the tartan skirt you would put red and tartan. You could also say it will look great with fishnets/stockings and boots this will hopefully make the buyer imagine what it is like ( if they wish to bid ) on themselves. Then come the measurements and the size;the length/width/size, these are important as they can measure themselves against what you are selling.Start priceI always list because it tells them if it is a good buy or not, don't go sky high but don't lower yourself thinking if you list it low it will go mad as this dosen't always work, look at your item and think how much you would like it to go for so if you want

Adidas Adicolor Track Top Jackets

Hi,Watch out for cheap jackets from asia as most of them are FAKE.Just remember that only 2500 of each jacket series was made, so it is very odd to find that some sellers are selling the jackets for less than $80 and have 10 stock. Most of these fakes look very similar to the original and aare hard to tell. But you can tell most of the time by looking at the persons feedback. I would only buy these jackets from power sellers or people that have a proven track record i.e. 100 feedback. Most of the jacket seller are new or have no feedback and are seliing the jackets for $50. I can almost guarantee these are fake. Please dont fall victim to these terrible fakes! Also all of the adicolor track tops come in a special presentation box, and the jackets inside are packed in their special paper, THEY ARE NOT PLASTIC BAGGED! this is another sign of fakesSome examples of the popular fake jackets out the now are the Kermit the frog G4, and the Mr Happy Y4 jackets.

lovehandbags.co.uk - genuine pre-loved luxury handbags

This guide is written to inform, with a focus on a few key areas of which to be aware when deciphering acounterfeit item and locating the real deal. If you find this useful orinformative please let us know by checking the box at the base of this page - many thanks.introductionCounterfeit products account for a huge percentage of all luxury goods. These items are flooding the e-commerce market to be purchased by consumers, the majority of whom areunaware of the origin and the detrimental social and economic effects which the production and subsequent sale of these items entail. It has been estimated (with reference to particular brands) as much as 90% of all handbags on a well known auction site are for counterfeit goods. Many fraudsters have no inhibitions in organising these goods to be drop shipped in bulk from China and other locations, which are then rapidly sold at discounted prices (on the luxury item) in succession upon auction websites or upon the fraudsters own websites as authentic goods. This unfortunately leaves genuine buyers with their investment in tatters, though sadly and quiteoften oblivious to the inferior quality of the goods purchased at a premium luxury price - whilst in true belief that they have a genuine bargain! There are of course some great bargains out there, however you really do have to do your homework if you want the real deal... and when you find your item, get this checked out by the brand name in question for total peace of mind.fakes cost more than just moneyDamning evidence from research consistently exposes the dangerousand detrimental effects that counterfeit inferior quality goodscan expose the user to. From car brakes and childrens toys to make-up and foodstuff, these items consistently fall below government standards, manyof which offer potential health hazards and in many cases life threatening risks. Read more about these issues on myauthentics.com.fabulous not fake, be anti-counterfeit and anti criminal Most people are unaware of the illegal activities which the counterfeit industries support. Purchase of these goods can fund appalling social and economic crimes globally. If you think you have mistakenly bought into a fake, do something about it, as this is a highly illegalindustry and every person who says no to these goods, really does make a difference in numerous ways!location of purchaseUnless you are purchasing your luxury item at the brand boutique, online store or from an authorised seller it can be a minefield to find one which is genuine. Avoid flea market bargains, purchases from handbag parties, street sellers and mostunauthorised websites, especially those offering current season high end luxury at near high street prices, as the goods found in these locationsmay behighly questionable. If you find a website which you feel is honest, make sure you check the about us page and any other information relative to authenticity, refund policy, history of the seller etc.Google thewebsite url, as this is agood gauge of feedback comments etc.Contact details are invaluable, especially if you can get to talk to someone personally regarding your potential purchase. One of the bestways of finding trusted places is through the grapevine (word of mouth),forums (the purse forum), blogs, ebay feedback etc.place of purchase - know your sellerFind out if your item was purchased from the brand store, make sure you question as to which store, if it was purchased personally, the date of purchase, exact price etc, if your seller does not come back to you oroffers blurred answers, then avoid as you never forget the purchase of a luxury item! If your seller states a family member, sibling, parents,a friendor ex partner originally purchased this, also be wary as this is a tactic used on a regular basisby questionable sellersto distance themselves from any come back upon selling a counterfeit item. We have received many bags which were apparently purchased from the brand in question and upon receipt of a fake bag, find the seller has given false and misleading information. There are of course many genuine exceptions to the above, where a family member etc will have purchased the genuine item as a gift etc. The key is to communicate, asking all the questions and making sure you are 100% confident with the answers you receive.photography: bait and switch - buyers beware!Have you seen the sameimage your seller is using elsewhere? perhaps on an authorised website or in another listing? Many fraudsters will steal photographs of genuine items to apply these to their listings for counterfeit goods... and unfortunately that is exactly what you receive, not the genuine item in the listing.craftsmanshipCraftsmanship, premium quality and exclusivity account for the high price of luxury goods. So if the item you are considering seems a bargain and a little to good to be true, it may well be just that! Craftsmanship is an area of distinction with luxury goods and most design houses have particular leather tanning, cutting, forming and stitching methods, relative to style, length of stitch, number of stitches per detail etc, so beware of untidy details, stitching and uneven stitch counts etc. Pay particular attention to areas which are not immediately on display such as the underside of an item, interior pockets, beneath and around the edges of fastening zippers. If the results of your investigation lead to finding any questionable elements, take your investigations further until you are convinced either way.detailsMany elements combine to denote the authenticity of a luxury branded handbag. The leather quality and type, the craftsmanship which covers various elements in itself, hardware and the association between age and style are just a few of these important factors. Many brands have specifically tanned or treated leathers and designed fabrics, fixtures and fittings. Although the high end counterfeiters have a seemingly convincing grip on many of these, there are often various giveaways such as incorrect leather type for product, texture, colour variation, alignment of pattern, edges not sewn in correctly, zippers which may be inferior in quality - wrong teeth sizeor open from the incorrect side, print of lining fabric wrongly scaled, alignedetc. If you are looking at purchasing a current season item it makes good sense to examine the item in-store, focusing on the finer details.new packagingWhenpurchasing a new item, the design of the packaging of luxury goods can have as much relevance as the handbag itself. Does your item have a keeper bag? and if so what is the quality like? is it soft and luxurious, made from good quality cotton and leather friendly fabric?. A few keeper bags will also state the fabric 100% cotton or the country of origin upon a sewn in tag, ie made in Italy for Prada etc. Does your item come with fine tissue paper, correct authenticity cards, product care information, luxury boxes and store bags?As luxury packaging is also copied and is readily available to purchase alongside fake receipts, from the same sources of the fake bags, beware and make sure to look for the finely tuned details, taking into account (if possible) the exact colours, sizing etc of the authentic packaging and steering clear of anyinconsistent details. authenticity documents and store receiptsThe information upon a fake authenticity card will often not apply to the bag in question, so a card which is distributed with a blue Prada handbag may well have the colour code for a black bag, ie if your blue Prada handbag comes with a colour description upon the card stating 'nero' black... this is a fake. There are various leather types which design houses such as Prada state in Italian upon the authenticity cards - so research if you do not have a knowledge of the language (google babelfish - this is a great online translation service). For example abag which is made from fallow deer skin 'daino' should not have a description stating 'cinghiale' wild boar skin etc.To make the sale convincing many fraudsters will sell their counterfeit handbag with a false store receipt. Fake store or brand receipts are purchased alongside paper store carrier bags for a few pounds from the original source of the counterfeit items. These receipts will be distributed with the fake goods, however just like fake authenticity cards these may have information relevant to another colour/style etc.. So make sure you ask questions and if in any doubt don't buy.immediate countefeit giveaways Counterfeiters often place plastic protective wrapping on the handles of new bags -which you will never see with a luxury branded item.A littleleatherhide orteardropshapeleather hang tag (leather sample) on cord can often be seen wrapped around the handle ofa counterfeitbag. This tag which is another trademark counterfeit giveaway has traditionally been acknowledged as a sign of 100% vera pelle or real leather, much associated with general market goods... if you look on auction sites you may well spot one of these hanging from a supposed genuine luxury handbag! Be aware as the majority of luxury brand names will never use this emblem. Lower end counterfeit itemsmay often have mis-spelt brand names. Look for letters that are in the incorrect order, a letter that is capitalised and is not on the authentic item, and vice versa. Any idiosyncrasies should be analysed if possible.Check your sellers feedback, if they are a personal seller and have sold the same bag previously ask yourself why they would have a duplicate - this could be a genuine resale from an item unpaid for - so investigate, if they have sold several of the identical bag...be very careful! Avoid sellers who advertise bags which have a long delivery period ie 7-14 days etc, as this is the time period for their fake goods to travel from the foreign counterfeit factory directly to you.hardwareWith most luxury accessories you will find the brand icon or logo on a few, many andoccasionally all elements of the hardware, such as zippers, locks, studs and buckles. Counterfeiters do place these on their goods, though may get the amount of times this is applied incorrect - so check if you can an authentic version of the bag prior to your purchase. And again the key is down to fine tuning or precision, so look at the nature of the forming of hardware, curves as opposed to sharp edges and vice versa, embossing, if this is crude or untidy, or if the logo is turned in the wrong direction, upwards, sidewards etc. labelsAn authentic handbag will most often have the brandlabel (leather, metal or fabric) secured or stitched within its interior as well as /or in other locations on the bag. Counterfeit items will have this label also, though there will often be giveaways such as an old design applied, which is no longer used by the design house in question. Some high end items however have what is almost a carbon copy of the original label and again the key to denoting the counterfeit is down to the fine tuning, the correct leather, finish of the metal - no sharp or smoothedges etc, shape of letters, depth of embossing, shape, cut and stitch quality of the leather label etc.country of originWith one or two key brands, the country of production is a part of the process in verifying an item. This combined with date codes, fabricquality andpattern alignment alongside other factors are ways of ascertaining authenticity. In recent years many goods which have previously only been produced in the country of brand origin are now being produced in varying european and continental locations due to the associated cost factors - expect to see a mulberry or miu miu with a 'made in turkey' tag inside. date / authenticity codesA key factor in verifying a few brands is the date or authenticity code. This is often found deep within a pocket, tucked in a seam or on the underside of a leather brand label. A few date codes have been recycled relentlessly on various fake items (these can be googled). So agenuine item will often also carry this code, from which it was taken to later be applied to counterfeits. Don't be put off... if you have a code which is associated with fakes, remember there are other factors which will determine the authenticity of your bag... foremostly the brand in question. Due to the nature of poor quality images on the internet, it is often not until you have the itemin hand that you can appreciate the distinctive nature ofhow elements combineto suggest luxury or fake. Often tactile comparatives such as weight, the thickness and finish of the hide, tone and texture of the hardware canultimately verify the authenticity of the item.Does your seller have a returns policyObviously a returns policy is not a standard with personal sales, however manytrusted sellers will state that they will be happy tonegotiate a solutionif you are not happy with your purchase - if it is stated no returns under any circumstances - ask questions or avoid, as a genuineseller will respond with a fitting solution. Also find out if collection is appropriate, as this will give you the opportunity to inspect your goods prior to handing over your well earned money. Collection may not be possible due to many genuine reasons, however do ask this question, as this can be a measure to the genuine nature of the sale and also the ability of your seller to communicate.paypal - what payment method does your seller accept? Many fraudsters prefer untraceable payment methods, bank wire transfers, which they will occasionally offer generous discounts for your use etc.Bidpay and westerm union, the fraudsterspreferred payment methods were for a period ousted, however are attempting to gain credibility through advertising campaigns.Paypal is a trusted payment system which works in conjunction with ebay and its anti-counterfeit policy,so if your item is proven to be a fake, ifyour seller is unresponsive to your communications or will not refund your purchase - do not hesitate in pursuing a claim through paypalas they will work alongside you.authentic investment Ultimately you may spend a little more than you may have originally intended, however the exceptional quality and exclusivity of your luxury item will give you peace of mind that your investment has been well spent, looking good throughout use and with an inherent resale value remaining, or your item may in time possibly acquire heirloom status!choose trusted on line sellers Always check feedback, credentials etc to the fullest extent. Don't risk your investment, make sure you use trusted sellers who have a very good history and consideration for you - the buyer. Look for those who guarantee your purchase fully, as ultimately this gives a degree of peace of mind prior to receiving your item and can be indication of both the level of service and goods provided.don't be fake everyperson who says no tofake goods andthe associateddetrimental effects, in turn supports the real designindustryand ultimately really does make a difference in so many ways!

Mamas and Papas ora

Firstly, anyone who says the harness doesn't keep the child in properly, are stupid stupid people!!!Mamas and Papas have most of their pushchairs now with a floating harness. This gives the full security of a fixed 5 point harness, but it gives the passenger more manoverability. Mamas and Papas certainly wouldn't put their name on anything that was not to the highest of standards.I don't beleive half of these reviews at times, and I am glad that I like to try products for myself.I have alot of buggies and pushchairs, due to some obsession with them, and each one I have has recieved reviews ranging from very good, to very bad, and I have never had any problems with any!I bought the Ora, and I love it.I wish the height handle was slightly lower, as i am only 5'0, but i knew the handle height before I bought it as it was listed. But I liked the look of it so bought it anyway (I usually only go for handles no higher than 104cm)However, this is certainly not a fault with the buggy, and as for pushing, it is very smooth, the seat is roomy, and my 2 year old looks very comfy in it. And whats more, no one tries to get out of their buggy more than he does, due to the terrible two's, and trust me, no matter how hard he tries, that harness doesn't let him budge out of that seat, but as I said earlier, he can lean forward, which is what he likes to do to be able to lean on the bumper bar at the front. Point being, some silly womas claims her 14 month old nearly fell out twice in one shopping trip , sorry but that is rubbish. She obviously wasn't using it correctly! It is very good value for money, as it comes with the raincover, and the cosytoes, and the changing bag, these items alone in Mamas and Papas store usually range from

How to spot FAKE Lacoste Polos!!

Hi, My name is Derek and i sellauthentic Lacoste Polo's on E-bay. Having sold genuine lacostesfor a number of months now I have noticed a few difference between genuine Lacostes and fakes. To stop the people getting ripped of from copies I decided to write this guide. Many Lacoste shirts on Ebay are fakes, but there are the few that are authentic.10 Quick ways todifferentiate authentic Lacoste polo's from fakes :-Have a Devanlay Care Tag inside the bottom left corner of the shirt. Have a Crocodile on the left breast of the shirt, facing outward. Have a placket with 2 buttons and the buttons have 2 holes, rather than four. Are designed in France and made in Peru by Devanlay. Have a European size number, for example: 4 (small), 5 (medium), etc. Run small to fit. For men, polos are 100% cotton. Do NOT say Lacoste on the buttons of the polo shirts. Have anopen hem at the bottom of the shirt, unlike Ralph Lauren polos that have vented hems. Tags for short sleeve solid color shirtsare listed as $72 and $85 for striped shirts (unlike many fakes that are listed at $79).For the record, when buying authentic Lacoste Polo Shirts make sure the Crocodiles are sewn on straight andare bought from a US or European citizen (do not trust shirts that come from China etc. They are more thanlikely fakes). I have listed this information so you dont get caught and buy a copy.If you want more information on lacoste polos please dont hesitate to ask me a question.

The main problem for people who buy goods on ebay is often to do with whether an item is a "fake" or not.Sometimes, as you may find in other articles, the goods are complete fakes and were never designed by the initial company. These you should stay well clear of and if you are concerned then there are many articles on here about specific items. However, there are many items for sale on ebay from top names such as Prada, Fendi, LV, Dolce

MANOLO BLAHNIK

Ok so these shoes are coveted by fashionatas and feature in the glossiesbut before you bid just take a few minutes to think about how those shoes were made.Mr blahnik is not concerned about animal rights and has been quoted as saying 'they will never sell in London," Manolo Blahnik sighs, cradling the silk-and-fur mule. "You know. The British. Animal rights. No foxhunting. No shooting birds. It is crazy." He huffs. Many of his shoe designs are made with fur and pony skin.Animals on fur farms spend their lives in tiny cages only to be killed by anal or genital electrocution, which causes them to have a heart attack. Some are skinned alive. Animals in the wild may languish for days in traps before they die or are killed. So if this guide stops one person buying his shoes I will be happy, check out animal friendly designers such as stella mccartney and stride out with a clear conscience.

Birkenstock VeRO, Unauthorised Sellers

This guide has been written to explain how to spot unauthorised sellers and to tell you more abut how misuse of the Birkenstock name and copying of the products can affect you as a consumer. There are many Birkenstock suppliers on eBay - however it is important to understand that not all of these companies are legitimate sellers and that it might affect your rights as a consumer if you have a problem, but you also run the risk of purchasing fake goods. The Natural Shoe Store and Birkenstock UK can not accept returns purchased through another company. The Birkenstock family of Bad Honnef, Germany, has been caring for feet since 1774. During the last decade of the 19th century, Konrad Birkenstock designed the first flexible arch support that mirrored the shape of the foot. In 1965, Karl Birkenstock took his family's foot bed concept a step further by introducing it as a sandal to the German market.Central Trade ltd. has been in the shoe business for over 30 years and is the exclusive distributor of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, clogs and other footwear all over Britain. The Natural Shoe Store is the retail arm of the same company. Birkenstock as a brand in the UK has gained enormous popularity and has grown over the years to become a mainstream brand with widespread loyalty. Birkenstock owns a number of "intellectual property" rights, including registered trademarks and registered designs. These can only be used by Birkenstock or its licensees, and are needed to protect Birkenstock's products from unlawful copying. It is illegal to use Birkenstock's trademark (or anything similar to it) or infringe its design rights without Birkenstock's authority. In certain circumstances the deliberate use of a registered trademark may be classified as counterfeiting. This is a criminal offence, and criminal proceedings can be brought by the Police or Trading Standards Officers. Civil proceedings can also be brought by the trademark and design right owner, and this could result in any person found to be infringing Birkenstock's trademark and design rights having to pay legal costs and damages.Central Trade is a member of the eBay VeRO(Verified Rights Owners's) programme and has produced this page to inform eBay users about auctions that contravene eBay's programme or Birkenstock's trademark and design rights.Birkenstock and Central trade monitor eBay and the Internet on a daily basis. Unfortunately, potentially counterfeit and/or infringing footwear are regularly offered for sale by auction . It is unlawful to do so. Any users of eBay carrying on such wrongful activities will be pursued via the courts. Indicators of potentially infringing items include the following descriptions and key phrases:Similar to BirkenstockLike Birkenstock"Birkenstock Style""Birkenstock"Birkenstock?X's Birkenstock sandalBirkenstock'ishSimilar 2/to BirkenstockAs BirkenstockNot BirkenstockBirkenstock replicaBirkenstock copyBirkenstock typeBirkenstock inspiredBxstockBstockAuthenticity not guaranteedAuthenticity not warranted our impliedCannot guarantee authorityNo guarantees or warrantiesFauxFakeImitationMockKnock-offRegrettably, any guarantee of authenticity from a seller is of itself no reliable assurance for items sold in their original boxes, with the original 'Made in Germany' tags attached. The tag consists of a comprehensive multicoloured booklet with information about Birkenstock in English and German. It is also worthwhile to note that it is against eBay rules and unlawful to sell items of different brands using the Birkenstock brand names in the listing titles.Frequently asked questions (FAQs)Q. Why was my auction ended or suspended?A. Birkenstock and Central Trade polices eBay and the Internet daily and immediately notifies eBay of any auctions attempting to sell items that infringe Birkenstock's intellectual property rights. Your auction was probably ended or suspended because Birkenstock and Central Trade genuinely believed it violated eBay's VeRO programme as the merchandise you had on offer appeared to be counterfeit and/or otherwise infringed Birkenstock's rights and is thus unlawful.Q. Why did eBay allow me to post my auction if it unlawful?A. We understand from eBay that it is impractical to comprehensively pre-screen their auctions. Thus some infringing items are listed, and can only be discovered and removed after the listing.Q. Why was my auction removed when I can see others that may also infringe Birkenstock's intellectual property rights?A. We do our best to ensure that all such auctions are taken off eBay at the earliest opportunity, but sometimes it is not possible to address every counterfeit and/or unauthorised item before it sells. If Birkenstock and Central trade do not proceed against an infringing auction, this does not mean that it is not breaking the law.Q. Does Birkenstock and Central Trade really care if just one single unauthorised item is sold?A. YES! Absolutely. A great deal of time and money has been spent in building upBirkenstock's national and international reputation in producing distinctive Birkenstock footwear of the highest quality. Counterfeits or copies are inevitably poor, shoddy and inferior and this causes extensive damage to Birkenstock's image. Birkenstock will not tolerate anyone piggybacking off its well earned reputation.Q. I think that the item I offered is geniune Birkenstock and not an imitation. How can I tell if it really real?A. The only way to be absolutely sure that the item is a geniune Birkenstock is to buy from authorised Birkenstock dealers. If your auction was ended or suspended we are satisfied that the item you were offering for sale was an imitation of counterfeit product. In some cases we appreciate that you may not have realised that you were selling fake goods, and that someone else may have deceived you.Q. Can I use Birkenstock's name and/or logo for the purposes of my auction even if I am not selling Birkenstock footwear? Or for making something at home?A. No is the answer to both questions, to do so would deceive others when there is no legitimate connection between what you are selling and use of the Birkenstock trade mark. Nor are you permitted to reproduce, display or otherwise use our name or logo such as cutting and pasting images onto your auction title or description. Only Birkenstock and its authorised users may do so. This includes making anything at home.Q. I think that my goods reported by Birkenstock to be imitation are nevertheless genuine. What rights do I have and how can I relist these goods for auction?A. If you do beleive a mistake has been made, you should email the trademark department on trademark@boottree.co.uk. Please include:1. Your eBay user ID2. The auction number3. The precise title and description used in the auction4. Any pictures or other reproductions of the items listed in the ended/suspended auction - This is very important as our trademark team can only use the pictures to confirm the product's authenticity. If we are satisfied that your auction was erroneously reported, we will email eBay asking them to restore your auction. However, the ultimate decision on whether or not to do so rests with eBay.Any enquiries can be mailed to Central Trade Limited or emailed via trademark@boottree.co.uk. Please ensure your eBay user ID and auction number are included. If you are aware of anyone offering for sale any footwear that infringes Birkenstock's intellectual property rights, please contact us as above.Thank you!

Juicy Couture Photos of FAKE Bags Sold on eBay UK!

FAKEDesigner Juicy Couture Handbags Photos Revealed! By: Spoil Myself TodaySee Part II Tech Traders Wholesale Scams Revealed! andPart III More Photos of Fake Juicy Bags Revealed! At Spoil Myself Today we are highly aware of the number of sellers on eBay who sell fake Juicy Couture Handbags and Accessories. We just wanted to point out a few photos that these sellers are commonly using to promote their FAKE Juicy Couture Handbags. If you see these photos ask the sellers why are you using photos from King Tide Bag Factory, or Tech Traders? This gets the seller every time, and they usually respond with a very aggressive tone defending their product. However with experience and after speaking direct with the trademark I can confirm that there are NO WHOLESALERS of JUICY COUTURE only RETAILS, all others are simply fakes. You have to be in business (not eBay) ideally a boutique, or proper shop to sell designer handbags, and you have to be approved to sell them from the trademark. You can't wake up one day and say I am going to sell Juicy Couture, it just does not work that way. Here are some photos that I have taken off of King Tide Bag Factory's site, they sell AAA FAKES! Don't buy from sellers who use these photos, it's a red flag! All of these photos have been taken from the following sites and I must stress not taken from ANY SELLERS on eBay although eBay sellers use these photos they are not taken from any auctions:King Tide Bag Factory BAGSALL BAGS ARE AAA QUALITY FAKES! Sensible Bidding

I am writing down a few thoughts on the subject of buying on eBay. Some are just opinions and some are the result of hard experience!ALWAYS check postal costs - this may seem obvious but a 'bargain' may not look so exciting when you realise the FULL cost. BEWARE of listings where the price is ridiculously low but the postal costs are excessively high - this is a scam because you can not return the item without being badly out of pocket! i.e. if an item is 0.99GBP

I received a fake email saying that money had been sent and I would be reported to ebay for not sending items. I clicked on the ref. no. and then it requires that you sign in to ebay to view the item (curiosity got the better of me). The next day i found that my EBAY IDENTITY HAD BEEN STOLEN. My account access password had been changed and I could no longer gain access to my account. They had tried to sell a 4 x 4 vehicle. Unlucky for them I had notified ebay and the auctioned item was stopped before sale. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE LINK TO EBAY, THE ITEM DOESN'T EXIST, also it finished in FEBRUARY 2006?!!!!

fake radleys how to spot

Having read the previous reviewersexcellent tipson spoting fakes, I would just liketo correct onepoint. Whilst I know what she means about the appique Radley's on the fakes which nearly always are embossed with the word radley in a font that is not Radley's font, image 'Cola' written inTime New Roman and you have the idea) it is not true that there are no Radley bags that have an applique Radley dog on the outside, some genuine older Radley bags do. They are very nice quality bags andusually have a twistedleather handle. They made them in black with a turqoiuse lining and dark brown with a dark lavender lining (and of course the swing dog matched the appique dog on front and the lining). This correction aside she is absolutely spot on . Good Luck.

FEEDBACK NO LONGER HELPFUL - DON'T GET CAUGHT OFF GUARD

WELCOME
This is just a quick guide to raise a very important issue - which i hope contains some helpful information (Please click YES at the bottom of the page if you do find it helpful).
The basis of the feedback system is to provide buyers and sellers with a fair and true view of a buyer / seller's performance on eBay. It helps buyers in particular decide whether to purchase from a particular seller or not.
However, this indication may no longer be helpful. Whilst idly searching the web, i came accross a company, which caters for eBay's crooks. There is a company, that actually creates and sells accounts to people who have previously been banned on eBay! I couldn't believe my eyes!
The company charges for this service, and sets people (most of which have previous account suspensions) up with new accounts. One of their services is to provide feedback on that account. You can also pay extra for an older account. These two factors help most buyers determine the legitimacy of a seller, yet sellers can now purchase this using PayPal, straight off the internet!
As a long term seller on eBay, i find it quite outrageous that people long term hard work and success can be bought by a simple click of a button. However, an even more problematic issue is that buyers who think they are buying from a 1,000 UK seller who has been registered for 3 years, could actually be buying from an ex-crook of ebay!
The company offers many other services, all of which are aimed at getting previous sellers who have been banned on eBay, back on there, to start selling. According to the site, eBay lost a case against them, as they had done nothing illegal.
I'm sure most readers will agree with me the serious problem sites like this create, especially if they're actually allowed, and eBay can do nothing to stop them!
This is the part where you'd look for a solution to the above mentioned problem.Unfortunately, i just don't have one. Just like everyone else, i look at the feedback score and date of registration as a key factor when purchasing.
All i can suggest is perhaps to thoroughly read all comments on their profile, ask questions if you're not in a rush, and always use PayPal (preferably when there's a buyer protection scheme available on the listing). MOST IMPORTANT, DON'T RUSH - TAKE YOUR TIME AND STUDY THE SELLER AND LISTING.

Feedback ..Good and bad.....

Feedback is a great way to let other ebayers know if the seller/buyer is reliable, honest etc.
As a buyer I check that the seller has a good positive feedback response and I personally would not buy from a seller with less than a 90% positive feeback rate. However you cant please all the people all the time as the saying goes, so if you really like an item it may be worth checking why the negative feedback was left. I have had negative feeback left from a buyer because the t-shirt that I posted was removed from the packing after it had been posted. Now this is my fault because??Also if a seller has gone from getting feedback for selling the a few clothes now and then and has suddenly started listing

The Clothes You Should Be Wearing For Your Body Shape!

The first thing you need to do if you wish to know what clothes you should be buying, and which you shouldn't, is to discover which body shape you have. It will most likely be one of the following options.

Pear: Which is slender in the upper body with full hips, thighs and bottom.
Apple: Which has broad shoulders and full breasts and tummy, with a smaller waistline and slender legs.
Hourglass: Which is curvy with full breasts, hips and bottom, with a smaller waistline and slender legs.
Slender: Which is generally slim all around, with small breasts, hips, bottom and waist, and long slim legs.
Full Figure: Which is curvy all over, with broad shoulders, large breasts, wide waist and full hips, bottom and thighs.
......so now you can look at the appropriate section that

Mini bags - A real PS mini bag has a leather zip inside the bag, the fakes have a metal zip. If the bag stinks of paint then its fake. The Paul Smith signature is incorrect in fakes and looks like its tipping downwards, also its too big (this is noticed inside the bag). The purple lining is also incorrect, feels loose in fakes. Kids' shoes and boots on Ebay

(Edited on October 25th) I firmly advise against buying any shoes or boots for a child on Ebay, particularly used ones, so as not to damage the growing bones of the feet. Children's feet grow at different rates, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, and in addition, unlike adults, the bones are not yet actually joined together ("fused") properly. You could severely damage your child's feet by putting them in shoes or boots which you have not actually had fitted by a trained fitter. but even more damaging, is buying shoes or boots which another child has worn in, even if they have only been worn for a few weeks, as the shoes/boots will have moulded to the shape of that child's feet. This is particularly true of leather, suede and especially sheepskin which "gives" very easily. Sheepskin boots are a good choice for children for this exact reason: they can be worn without socks, thus keeping the feet perspiration-free and therefore healthier, and within a short space of time they are worn in, moulded to your child's foot shape and therefore fit "like a glove". If this has already been done, however, by a previous child, it is worse than buying new boots or shoes which you have not had fitted, because the indents made by that child's toes, heels etc. will not match your own child's feet, and this will not only cause discomfort, it can cause your child's toe bones to fuse in a disfigured way, and can also prevent your child from walking comfortably. This may sound odd, but if your child is wearing an ill-fitting shoe or boot, they are going to hold their feet awkwardly to prevent it slipping about, or to prevent it hurting, and this can cause them to develop abnormal walking ; at worst this can affect the spine.Children who are not yet walking alone should never wear shoes or boots with hard soles; for the same reasons outlined just above, it can damage their feet. Children who are learning to walk need to be able to feel the ground properly under their feet, and be bale to balance properly, and they cannot do this if they have a stiff sole under their feet. By stiff, i mean any kind of sole normally found on a shoe, other than very soft leather, sheepskin or cloth. Many types of shoe are available like that; the soft leather or sheepskin ones are ideal for if your child goes out in the garden a lot, as they will protect the feet from small stones and thorns etc., but without the hindering effect of stiffer soles. When you think about it, people have walked with bare feet for millions of years and only in the past few hundred years or so have we worn shoes; this is mainly true in the West with people who live in cities and towns and who walk on hard ground. If you allow your child to play in the garden with bare feet a lot, they will develop tough feet and will be comfortable enough in bare feet. but for walking on pavement, the soft-soled shoes I have suggested are sufficient right up until the child is able to walk and run comfortably. There are a number of listings on Ebay for fashion shoes and boots for kids. Names like Ugg are popular, and it really isn't worth paying through the nose for someone else's child's old boots just so you can see your child with that label on their boots. This may make you feel a sense of satisfaction at allowing your child to have "the best", but in the long run it is not fair on your child. Even if the shoes are unworn, and even if they are the size of your child's current shoes, don't forget that children's feet grow fast, and in the time since your last visit to the shoe shop, your child may have grown as many as 3 half sizes in as many months, since children's growth is in spurts. Even if you have the right size, ther is the width to consider, and the depth. The shoe should fit snugly, but not tightly, around the widest part of the arch of the foot; there should be slight clearance round the toes, because when a child walks the toes spread out (as adults' do too if they are not damaged by years of ill-fitting shoes; it is unusual to see a Western child get to age 18 still with spreading toes). Having said that, there is a common misconception that it is OK to have "plenty of room for growth"; this is only partly true, because although you should allow a small amount of room, it isn't really for the convenience of the parents and their finances, but to make sure that the child has a small amount of room in case of a sudden growth spurt over a few weeks, which the parents may not expect or notice. So, only about 1 to 1.5 cms should be allowed at the smallest toe end, with no more than 1 cm at the big toe, otherwise, the shoes are much longer than the child can allow for and s/he will end up tripping, lierally, over their own feet. Even if you allow for the width, some children have long toes, which means the front of their foot is "shallow" compared with the middle where the arch is. This doesn't matter so much with children whose toes are not so long in relation to the rest of their feet, or children with chubby feet. If a child's foot is shallow at the front, and the shoe is too deep, you get a pronounced crease where the shoe bends when the child walks. this crease can end up causing discomfort, and again cause the child to hold their foot awkwardly as they walk. The best thing you can do for your child is to take them to a shop which has trained fitters, particulalry when they are still toddling, but also if posible right through their childhood, and have them properly fitted for width as well as length. You should take them every couple of months, but in between do check by squeezing the front of the shoe. If you can feel the big toe right at the very front, against the leather, then the shoes are too small. Never allow a child to stay in shoes which have become too smal because they will stop their feet growing properly, as well as rubbing painfully against the skin of the toe.Leave the fashion brand names until they are much bigger. Perhaps you could buy boots like the ugg style ones from somewhere like Celtic Sheepskin, then take your child to the Clark's shop, and say, I think it may be time to buy some new shoes, and have them check to see if the boots (you have just bought!) fit properly. If not, well, they haven't actually worn them so you can return them, no questions, for a refund.Celtic Sheepskin were making THE Ugg trademarked boots first anyway, years ago, named after the generic "ugg" or "ugly" boots worn by the australian surfers in Cornwall. Celtic Sheepskin later sold the trademark and it is now owned by Decker of the USA, who ironically use the name Ugg Australia (because the original style is aussie as is the sheepskin.) The original Ugg trademarked boots are now Celt boots. They also make very beautiful and inexpensive bootees for babies and toddlers, and their children's boots come in the same range of colours and gorgeous style as the adults' ones.Regardless of what people say, no child is yet truly fashion-concious, unless their taste has been moulded by fashion victim parents. Is it fair for children's feet to suffer for the sake of their parents' fashion taste? Children are not just accessory-holders for parents who cannot live without designer clothing.So...to recommend a few types of shoes for kids:For babies and toddlers who can't yet walk PROPERLY: Bobobobs or similar, or corduroy Padders etc. Or, make your own.Buy a sheepskin bootees set to stitch yourself.Soft cloth or leather shoes with soft soles, such as lambskin boottees from Celtic Sheepskin, ONCE THE CHILD CAN WALKFor older infants and children get sheepskin for the winter if you can because they can wear them without socks, and this prevents sweatiness. Even in winter their feet will be really warm, without socks, if they wear real sheepskin boots. they should be snug around the foot but not tight, and there should be some growing room for the toes, but not so much that the child's walking is affected. Not getting sweaty feet means no bacterial or yeast infections such as Athlete's foot, which, yes, kids certainly can get.If you send Celtic Sheepskin a drawn-around foot of your child they can send the right size to be worn without needing socks. At the moment (Autumn 07) the children's boots are all half price if you send for a catalogue and get the code number to quote from the "welcome" letter. This makes them around

How to make dread extensions!

Right? So you have seen all those fantastic hairpeices on eBay to can buy, but there is never one exactly how you like it and you fancy cutting costs and making your own! But where do you start? What do you need?- A hairdryer (or steam gun for the professional)-100% Kanekalon (heat shrinkable) synthetic hair ( available on eBay for a couple of quid, one bad will make about 10 dreads)-Lace or an elastric band to bind the dreads too-Small comb (the ones with no handle which cost about 35p)-ScissorsFirst things first, the set up. You need something to tie/hook your lace or hair band too. Somewhere you can sit comfortably and possibly watch the telly too. Unpack the synthetic hair ad seperate into 10 even parts and place them carefully over a rail of somesort (or the back on a chair). Take the first section and thread it through the hairband or loop over if it is lace. Make sure the hairband or lace are in the middle of the section and both sides are even. Start to braid the peice of syntheitc hair onto the band or lace to secure it. Now, some people use a glue gun and glue this in place. Personally, get out your hairdryer and blast it to seal.Once you have your first strand of synth hair on your band or lace, gently back comb whilst twisting the entire strand. You will need to back comb the enitre length of the hair so it looks like a big fuzzy mess. Then twist the mess and rub with your hands along the length of the dread, be quite vigorous. Once it is starting to look a little dready, twist into a tight dread and blast with your hair dryer or steam gun.-Safety Point: Watch yourself with a steam gun, its unforgiving but also your hair dryer can get hot too so wear gloves or be very careful. When using a hair dryer be careful not to burn the hair, run the heat up and down the dread to seal it. Once finished, trim the end of your dreads. The more you tease the shorter the dreads will become and the tighter they will be.A good hairpeice will have 20-30 dreads depending on how much hair you have to cover. You can go manic with your dreads adding in wire, plastic tubing and beads, everything you need is available here on eBay!

Fake Stone Island, Paul Smith, Cp Company

I read a guide on this site about fake stone island etc. What I would say is that there are a few ways of telling a fake jumper/ coat but none of them were mentioned. On SOME garments by stone island there is a hologram on the back label, but not all s.i jumpers have this hologram. Also there are two sizes of label that s.i use in their clothes but both have a serial number on them.Check for the SPORTSWEAR company s.p.a label on the inside of the jumper. Finaly there are the obvious signs, poor stiching on the removable arm badge, cheap zips (most s.i clothes with zips have lampo zippers) and poor quality material. Another thing I would say though is that if your jumper stretches, becomes mis-shaped or starts to deteriorate this dosnt necissarily mean it is fake as

Watch Out When Reporting Counterfeit Goods To PayPal!

If you have bought a counterfeit item off from eBay and open up a dispute with Paypal to get a refund, then you will have a very difficult time in getting your money back!In my 7 years on eBay, I have found that getting a refund from sellers of counterfeit items through Paypal very difficult and stressfull. At this time of writing this guide (20th September 2008), they currently require for the buyer to prove that the item is fake and not for the seller to prove that the item is qenuine.Paypal request the buyer to:a) Send the item off to either the company that made the item or an authorised distributor of the brand in question, asking for them to inspect the item in question and decide wether it is genuine or counterfeit.b) They than want written confirmation of the decision of the company or authorised distributor of the brand. This information must include contact details of the company and whom you spoke to about the issue. They also expect for you to pay for the costs of sending the item to the company or authorised distributor of the brand!
