Obviously you dont want a fake,here are some tips that will help you spot fakes in an instant- and hopefully a better buyer!. Check the label... It should say LACOSTE in caps very clear, very black.. The 'croc' on the label should definatly look like a 'croc' not a chicken! (and green der!) ...check for two tiny white eyes.. The buttons should be mother of pearl.... (kinda changes colour in different light)........... there should only be 2!. The material 'croc' is stiched on with a thin transparent cotton. The 'croc' should be between the begining of the openingon the polo (dunno what its called) and the first MOTHER OF PEARL button.. There should be no writing near or in the material lacoste crockodile on the front or on the buttons for that matter!. On the washing instructions....there should be...somewhere..writing of
